I have installed english version of GOTY edition (path different than default), then I installed PL language pack. Although it installed correctly when I click launch it does nothing, and when I start game manually it is still in english. Why my files are not updated and what can I do to install language pack?

I have asimilar problem, though I hope you have checked if you can change the language in the main menu's language options.
I have downloaded and installed the German and French language packs, only when I start the game and check the options, all I can choose is German and English. The installation was completed succesfully (at least the installer said so). And I got these packs from the official GOG website. Downloaded the game in Galaxy and the pack with the GOG Downloader, so maybe there is the issue. It's also possible that just the French pack didn't work or neither of the two worked properly since I bought the game from Germany so maybe German was pre-installed. Is there any way I can check if the language packs are installed where they are supposed to be? Is there any workaround? Please, don't say it's re-downloading the entire game because I have a very slow connection and ttakes me days to download the full game.
