Was having issues with GOG (GOTY with all dlc) and switch cross saves, and was hoping someone could help.

I was playing on Switch for a few hours the other day, uploaded my save to the GOG cloud, and then picked up to play on PC for another few hours. I saved in GOG, made sure my saves synced to the cloud, and then the day after picked up the switch version.

However, whenever I try to load any of the latest saves on switch, the game crashes when I get to the loading screen with the narrator reading the intro part (I just got to Skelliege a while ago, and am currently at the mourning for the king). The error it crashes with is "The software was closed because an error occurred". I can load saves from several hours ago fine, but anything recent crashes (even those a bit before Skelliege). The saves on GOG/PC version work just fine if I try to play. I have even gone ahead and played a bit more in the PC version, and then saved again, but those new saves crash on switch as well.

I have tried restarting the Switch several times, uninstalling and reinstalling the game/updates on switch (physical version), checking for corrupted data (none), and even deleted my local Switch saves.

Any idea what I can do? I just bought the Switch version recently, and would have to be limited to just the PC version now after paying $60 on switch :(

Had the same problem occur after playing for a while on PC and Switch. When I uploaded my Switch save to GOG Cloud I got a message saying it was successful, but no recent save appeared on my PC. I solved this by disconnecting and reconnecting to GOG in the Switch Cloud menu, and uploading the save again. After a new synchronization on PC, I could access my Switch save again. Obvious in hindsight, but if this can help anyone...
