So cutting it short as much as I can, I got a boxed version of The Witcher 3. As one might guess, it wasn't USED before. I try to download the game as I dont have any DVD drive in my laptop. It turns out that the GOG code was already in use. i contact the customer support here in GOG, i get a lousy answer simply saying no you can't get any other code.

So, can someone tell me HOW ON EARTH a code that was clearly in a sealed BOX distributed by a major distributor in my country IS ALREADY IN USE? And the quality of the customer support I've received, well, speaks for itself in the above paragraph.

Way to GOG, yet another reason to turn people into steam fanboys.

Cheers

Is the name of the shop D&R? We had 3 or 4 people who bought their game there and got the same problem (all from Turkey).
If this is the case here is the solution for you:

So, you bought the DVD version of the game - even though you do not have a DVD drive??? Methinks there is a bit more to this story than you are telling.

Whatever - your angst is misplaced. If your code shows up a "already used", then your issue is with the seller, not GOG. Go back to them for a refund or a new code.

I don't find it suspicious to buy the DVD version of the Game even if you don't have a DVD drive. You know that you will get a key for GOG and are able to download the game too. So why not save some money and buy the retail?

...Sure... IF you buy a valid retail copy, you can redeem your key on GOG - but these forums are full purchasers who bought counterfeit DVDs or bogus codes - and they complain to GOG - not to whomever they purchased from.
