EDIT: i maybe found the problem
in options of galaxy my harddrive was marked with F folder but its E so after manually(!) changing it its now downloading

mods can just delete this thread thanks
------

so i finished heart stone in november.15 now i came back to look at the new addon coming out tomorrow and i wanted to install 1.12.

first after a 100MB gog galaxy patch the game (witcher3) will show me "install".
no i have this game on my harddrive.
so i see i can pick the folder and its now "play" BUT grayed out so i cant even start it.
when i pick check the files/game it takes some time and then he say there is not enough space try again

WTF i have 100GB left on that SSD where witcher3 is installed.

also in the gog app shows me "update 1207664643"

whats that for an user-unfriendly software STILL!

i had massive problems on release and i kinda could understand it because its new now almost a year after the problems continue?

man i use
bnet
ubilauncher
steam
origin

but gog has by far the most problems

i will wait and see if there is a solution if not then i have to reinstall all and download all again
the struggle is real ...

ps: i never bought a game for gog again guess this opinion wont change anytime ... i still wished i would have bought it for steam ...

pps: my english is bad i am just a german witcher fan

Solution: do not use Galaxy (it's GALAXY, not GOG).

Uninsall Galaxy, sign into your web account, download the installers and install manually. Galaxy is a mess.

i want a interface (infos, achievments etc.) and automatically installing software
i dont want that 1999 manually installing patches system

BUT i found the problem
galaxy was not adapting to the manually added folder i had to change the setting also manually under the options

ps: you are right its galaxy but gog is for me galaxy so either get rid of that software or fix it
i mean how long will galaxy stick in beta? 2 years? ridiculous when i compare

like i said in my edited first post, mods can just delete this thread

In my opinion "!they" should not delete this thread, but make it a sticky!

Why - well there is not "the" case where galaxy will make a mess of an otherwise smooth gaming experience, you just had one of many different possible encounters with a piece of software that has not been cared for enough.

By using the GOG downloader and its options you can make very sure (shit might happen during every download, any time, everywhere) that you will get all the files needed in a playable state, after installation.

Anyway: good luck!
