OK.. so i have the collectors edition of the game and have loaded it onto my PC but it keeps saying 'Waiting for Release Date' and will not allow me to play.

Any suggestions?

On a similar but separate issue, all the DLC and expansion passes that were supposed to be included in the Collectors Edition wont download unless I pay for them....

You have to patch to at least 1.02. That is the activation patch for pre-load people.

Edit: For the DLC, you don't have to pay for them, but you do have to "buy" them on the GOG website. All you have to do is click purchase for the DLC with a purchase price of $0.00.

Dunno. They should really update their installer to include the day one patch as well.

From FAQ:

Q.: I installed the game and it is well after 19th May, Galaxy still displays 'Waiting for release' and the 'Play' button is greyed out. What can I do?

A.:
1. Exit Galaxy
2. Open it up again
3. Select the game, click More -> Manage -> Verify/Repair
4. Wait for the patching process to finish
5. Play
