notzaar: I am on Win 10, and I used GoG Galaxy to update and maintain the game.
The last time I played was right after the 2nd big DLC expansion, not sure what version that was. I checked my documents and at least my saved games are there, hopefully I can still use them. This was so weird though, I don't remember asking the PC to uninstall my game.
The-Dark-Scholar: This happened to me yesterday. I tried so many things but was forced to reinstall the game. Like you, I didn't uninstall it. In fact, I was playing it the night before and have no idea why that'd happen. According to my friend, it's an issue with GOG itself that the fans had to patch, but I was unable to make the patch work. If this is the case, then GOG and by extension- CDPR NEED to fix this. After all, this is their launcher with their game. I hope to God that this doesn't happen with CyberPunk.
I can also verify this can happen.
Both Gwent and Thronebreaker just vanished altogether.
I'm quite certain an esteemed "gentleman" from Skellige isles would put it: "I once lopped off 2 heads with one blow".
I've got an internet connection that's capable of downloading games here at a whopping 0.1MB/s, on a good day, so I do share your fears concerning losing everything when bigger games are involved.
Quite the conundrum this, it seems.
