Well Really pissed off today, last night I managed to download 13GB of the 26GB for The Witcher 3 preload only to login today to find I have to re-download it again.

Anyone else encountered this issue?

I have a really slow connection, does this mean I have to leave my pc running for the next 2 or 3 day to download this preload

Were you using Galaxy client or GOG downloader?

Galaxy m8. Its has no pause feature but I thought it would just be logical for them to implement some sort of last session save system or pause feature so people can download large files over a space of time, but no :(

Oh, but I think they did. I downloaded The Witcher 2 (again) in three sesions :p That's strange... Well, look at the bright side: You still have a week to preload the game.
Galaxy seems pretty sketchy right now to be honest.
It's acting strange with Pillars of Eternity too, trying to download large updates for my already updated game.

It seems less efficient with file sizes too, witcher 3 on GOG downloader is 22G not the 26 you mention. Same with PoE, galaxy file is much larger.

For now I'm sticking with the old downloader, I only use steam and origin because they're required for a lot of games, this type of platform is not what I want from GOG so I'm glad it's optional. Also bear in mind it's beta software so don't expect it to work properly yet.

On Galaxy The Witcher 3 was 26GB+ for me anyway, I'm now downloading on the older platform and that is 31GB.

May I ask you in which platform? I used GOG downloader, and it downloaded only 21.95 GB (but the folder takes almost 25 GB of space)

That's strange... If you add up the manual download links on the game card it's about 22GB and that's what my GOG Downloader shows (21.95 to be exact)

yeah that is weird, wonder why GOG downloader is nearly 10gb bigger than the manual download. I tried the manual download 1st but it would have taken me a few years to finish, don't know what the problem was there :)

In fact, the weirdest thing is that I used the downloader, and got only 21.95 GB... But oh well, who cares as long as the game is able to run on release.

I installed the game, and the folder is full of subfolders named "content#" (from 1 to 12), where you can find files named Kaer Morhen, Wyzima, Novigrad, Village, etc... There are also a lot of .ini files, one of them is named dlc.ini. And yes, you can get a hint of future dlc reading it. But I can't say more, I don't want to go against any rule, nor anything like that.
