Now how in the world did the come up with how we get the game? I've got just about everything in the game done but yet I'm only a level 26. Last 4 quest I just did were 3 to 4 levels higher then that for which I am currently and I got a lousy 50 xp for completing them. For example the quest Tower out of now where or some such like that there was a level 29 quest. I had just made level 26 after completing the quest I ended up with a whole 190 xp gain and that included the kills for the golems and such in the tower. 3 other quest that were between level 29 and 31 gave me just as few xp. At this rate I'll never get to do DLC's.

Well, you do gain a lot of xp when you do the main quests, the quest chain following Isle of Mists alone should bump you up about 3-4 levels...
I did one playthrough where I started Hearts of Stone before going to the Isle of Mists, doing all available side quests, contracts etc, and almost all of them while they were still "green", and I got up to lvl 29. So, I believe that's really as far as it goes if you don't grind or exploit glitches etc. If you did many of the earlier quests when they were already greyed out you missed out on some xp.
Yeah - main quest (particularily Isle of Mists and Battle of KM) are the way to go in terms of xp. If some of your quests are greyed out you can install a "always full xp" mod on nexusmods.

Will have to admit that the gaining of XP is one of the worst in the TW3 series. I mean after all I'm Level 26 now 27 and I'm doing quest that are as much as 3 to 6 levels higher then that for which I currently7 am. And what to I end up with between 50 and 100 xp per quest including killing for the kills for which I had to do.

Now I figure if you're willing to take on a quest that is 6 levels higher then you are the rewards should be higher as well. If there is a TW4 I doubt that I will pre order the game. To many minuses.

That's something i found odd as well.

Don't do quests that a 6 levels higher, as you mentioned earlier you will get the same amount of xp, but you could end up missing out on xp on some xp due to leveling up earlier. (Which is why i installed the "always full xp mod")

Mhm, apparently the "red quests" do give you slightly more xp, but I can't personally speak to this since I never really paid much attention to it.

You may find that you should get a higher "xp reward" for quests slightly above your current level, but I don't necessarily think so (simply because sometimes a quest labelled 6 lvls higher than your current lvl has just one high-lvl monster that can be taken out rather easily with some preparation). I just treated those recommendations as just that - an approach that has worked nicely for me ;) But yeah, the system isn't flawless by any means, just has never diminished the experience for me.

Why exactly does this bother you so much - is it because of some equipment you want to use, or the sense of accomplishment or something? Really just asking out of curiosity, not to be nasty or anything. (If it is because of the expansion - be warned, as mentioned in an earlier post, I once started HoS with lvl 29 and before Isle of Mists, it will make you OP to the point where you can basically just waltz through the rest of the game).
