Hi there,

i have a huge problem with the Witcher 3 game. Being left-handed, i am used to switch game controls for basic movement to IJKL instead of WASD and other controls (e.g. journal, map, inventory and alike) around the IJKL keys. Ofc I am using the mouse with my left hand. Until now. Witcher 3 seems to have some sort of partly predetermined control setup, which really sucks. So i'd ask if there is a possibility to fix this. Besides, i know some right-handed people that would also agree with me on this matter. Thanks in advance!

I just heard about this massive flaw. I hate wasd. The best control option is the one you can customize.
Personally, I think esdf is better in every way.

Here's a work around until they make a fix (or unless they don't).

Find this file:
C:\Users\your-user-name\Documents\The Witcher 3\input.settings.
Make a backup of that file.
Open it with Notepad.

Commands are divided into sections
Example: IK_Alt=(Action=Dodge). that means dodge is bound to the Alt key.
Change all the actions to the keys of your choice.
Browse the file to find the names of the keys and mouse buttons.
Make sure to change all instances of that action
Avoid binding one key to multiple actions.
Save your changes and run the game.

If you mess up, restore the backup and start over.
Thank u very much, that did the trick. Well, at least it did until patch 1.04 that introduced (almost) fully customizable control setup, but your hint helped me a lot!
