I'm just curious as to what everyone's favorite Witcher game is now that the trilogy is out.

I personally haven't played the new one yet, was waiting on the enhanced edition but now I'm reading rumors that CDPR has said there won't be one for the Witcher 3. Will probably pick it up after I play through the first two again.

It's a hard choice for me between the two. On one hand I really like the atmosphere and the one man party baldurs gate style combat from the first but the second game really does rank some points for how CDPR handled the mid game, chapter 2 part.

Anyway, favorite Witcher game? How would you rank them?
the witcher 3 by far.
the witcher 2 probably after that and last the witcher 1.

The thing is that the combat in the witcher 1 can become rather boring and repetitive in my oppinion.
And both the witcher 1 and 2 lack the modern elements of gameplay that are hard to play without once you got used to them, for example jumping.
The Witcher 3 - it's a masterpiece.Then Witcher 1 and on last spot Witcher 2 (those god-awful colors).
I started playing The Witcher 1 because I was hyped for The Witcher 2 when it was soon to be released. If I had played it when it was new, I probably would have like the first game a lot, but while waiting for The Witcher 2, I had trouble getting into it. The Witcher 2 I liked a lot. The Witcher 3 is easily my favorite at the moment though. The world feels so alive, and it is incredible how much fun and varied content there is, once it opens up and you really start to explore.
Played W1, W2 and now playing W3. Witcher 2 is still my favourite. Very good graphics and fantastic armors (they seem even better than Witcher 3), consistent places, charismatic characters, good gameplay. Maybe I prefer W3 combat though, but with Witcher 2 potion system. I'm loving Witcher 3 - I swear I'm loving it a lot - but I'm a bit disappointed because of some things
Hard to say exactly. For me, Witcher 1 had a very nice story but it was very immature in regards to sex. I liked the possibility to control the game with a mouse only but on the other hand it was not the best solution out there. Character conversations were good but I think in some cases the cussing and vulgarity was also a bit out of place. Witcher 2 was a great improvement. The story and the overall feel were even better. They fixed the 'skirt shaking Geralt' issue, dialogues and the characters were more maturely developed. I liked it a great deal. I didn't like the optimization though. Even now, when my setup exceeds the recommended specs, I am unable to run the game in 60 FPS on high. Witcher 3 is another improvement. I like the random loot system. I like that the world is not automatically adjusting monster levels to your character. Story and everything is very good too. No hard issues from my side. As for which one is the most favourite? No idea :P I like them all equally.
