I know that decreasing the difficulty does that, but I'm wondering if I can change it to Death March (because I'm a bit overleveled) and still get achievements.

well I assume that you can't get the achievement for finishing the game on DM difficulty by switching it up before the end of the game but I would not think that you lose out on any achievements that you would have gotten on your previous difficulty anyways.

can't confirm though, just an educated guess
