Hi guys, before i go onto my problem, yes i did search this and i did find other topics but the one that said solved really didnt help me and the one that did i need more elaboration on.

I recently just bought Witcher 3 (and 2 but thats another story), and i put it into my off disk I use for games. It seems like it was being downloaded to a /!Downloads folder but idk. So apparently theres a fix by manually installing it instead by either GOG downloader or by this website? Can someone give me a detailed explanation of how to do those because im kinda new here. Thanks!

If you want to download a game with your browser go on Account - Library - Witcher 3. There is a blue button with "Try GOG Galaxy" and under this you can see "Game Downloads". For some games you could change the OS and the language. Now click on all parts of the installer and download them (one after one). Witcher 3 has 7 parts if I remember correctly. One is a exe-file and the rest are bin-files. After you downloaded all files double-click the exe-file and install the game. You could download patch 1.07 after this (2 parts) and install it after you installed Witcher 3.

If you want to use the GOG Downloader click on the "More" button to get the download links.

Isn't the game patched to 1.06 now?
So you only need main files plus 1.07 patch, but beware 1.07 has caused new bugs.
If DL'ing manually.

Or, if you want to manually download without using Galaxy, do the same (open up your account and go to the Witcher 3 game) and you can download each of the 7 parts to whatever directory you choose. Then run the executable file which will install the game. If you want to download 1.07 there are 2 parts. You will see all the DLC's listed for download as well.
Okay thanks for the help guys I now have to download all the parts... once again :P... But just for future references does anyone have the actual fix for Disk Access Problem? I was told it was Avast and turned it off and still no dice. Also added it to exclusions and that didnt work either. Anyone have the fix?

Also, when I do the installation will it give me the option for the install path?

It will default to installing on your C" drive in a directory GOG Games\The Witcher 3

ETA - Yes, it will give you a choice to install elsewhere, but I recommend to take the default. That's where all the updates, DLC's, etc will be looking for it. Saves having issues later.

Hmm I seem to have run into a problem... Everytime i try and manually download the files it always cancels at around 90%... Is there any other way to do this? I really hope I didnt just waste $60
Each of the files cancels at 90%? Seems odd. Are you running anti-spyware / antivirus? Try rebooting your PC.

It is just a download of a file. Nothing too taxing about it.

Okay last problem. I installed it and everything now and it all works buuuuttt, gog galaxy doesnt recognize it, it still just says disk access problem. I uninstalled it and did import to the folder where it actually installed and waited an hour for it to finish and in the end it still just said disk access problem. Help?

You don`t need Galaxy (it is optional) to play the game. Just deintsall Galaxy and use the downloaded files and install the game. Galaxy is named as Beta but Alpha would be better in my opinion.
You can install all patches and DLCs without it.
If you need help to install the DLCs look here:
http://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/guide_free_dlcs_activasion/page1
Many seem it find things smoother and easier to just run the game from the executable, without Galaxy involved at all. The game executable is in the Gog Games directory, under \Bin\64\witcher3.exe

You can just make a shortcut from that file to your desktop.

Have fun
