Firstly the performances are low on my computer, I didn't remind that, is the Classic faster?

Secondly, I couldn't bear horse commands so search show me a few unclear mods ultra complicate to install, but also all those mods wasn't for 4.x but for 3.x. So what's the point for mods with 4.x?

The 4.x seems clearly include all DLC that I have, but for Classic it's not clear for DLC, any clarficiation on Classic and DLC?
I can only tell you about the performance. It looks much better, but the performance is super unoptimized. My GPU doesn't get nearly to its limit, but my CPU hits it in the DX12 version. If I disable Ray tracing, it suddenly works fluently. Even though my GPU is not the bottleneck.
Side note: I cannot believe Gog can't make their forum compatible with Firefox on Mac, what's this crap?

Otherwise yeah I had disabled all ray tracing and it's less bad, but still not what I remind. I suppose it's just better on details because it's hard notice anything, totally don't care of dx12.

I'll install the classic to check, probably last chance for the game because I don't get all the overhype on this game, too many annoying designs (hate so much how character move, can't believe the crap).
Personally, last update totally broke the graphics for me.
Everything is too dark and there is a strong gold shimmering everywhere.

The classic version graphics where already very beautiful and not sure what this update serve.
I jumped at the update as an opportunity to try and finish the game, as I never did, but seems is not possible for now.

And every "hotfix" oblidge you to download 50GB.

I installed both, classic and 4.x, with direct comparison, settings more or less all at bottom or close, some higher like textures, there's a huge difference for faces, it's even chocking when trying the 4.x and then the 3.x.

It's certainly not because it's so bad in 3.x, but it's much better in general with 4.x, at least for faces.

But then I faced the incompatibility of saves and it's annoying but thnks to MrFlau comment I noticed the 4.x had a DX11 launcher.

And that's DX12 the bottleneck with my config (gtx 1080), not 4.x. With max fps at 60, I have regular or even constant 58 to 62/63 fps with both 3.x and 4.x DX11, it's like 25 to 35 fps with DX12.

So because of saves incompatibility I sticked to 4.x but use DX11 launcher, I hope I won't regret later.

There's also something weird with this game, it feels not fluid even when fps are regular 58 to 63, that's totally weird because for many games at 30 fps hard limit I have a good feeling of fluidity. It's probably related to rotation mainly but it's weird and bizarre. Activate all Blury options but cinematic I never use, seems temper the problem but not cancel it. I'll play some hours and see if I can revert to a max 30 fps setting I use with all games when I can.
