gunsynd: You don't need CC running all the time.Otherwise it's not too bad.
Are all drivers up to date?
This is still buggy (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970) as it was rushed out for W3.I did get a new driver
update today and maybe they have improved it.
Use task manager to kill game when it's still running or alt and F4.
Unfortunatly the game is still very buggy as you can see by the forum,I play fairly easy
and never actually up dated game past 1.02.Maybe that's a solution until it's fixed properly.
And I don't use Galaxy.

I don't use the DLC's as yet neither,should of stated that also:-)

Cutscenes = prerendered things where all/most (?) of your graphic settings do not count.

Means more or less that only a video is shown, GPU near to idle. Wrong?

Think this really is tied to using Galaxy.
Why?

My initial GPU had been a GTX 580. Outdated, but worked without crashes - but extremely hot.
So I went for a GTX960 4G just recently.

Still - works well, no crashes at higher settings (most settings to Ultra with some post disabled), keeps at around 60°.

Never had Galaxy, never lost anything by NOT using this gimmick that still is in beta (with you as the beta tester).

Well, I changed the framerate to unlimited and I got it to play for almost 20 minutes before another hard lock so back to square one still not working :(

I was struggling with this trying all of the fixes then just for the hell of it I changed to windowed mode. Haven't had the problem since and the odd thing is it's still full screen. Might be worth a try. I'm running 2 AMD 7770's in crossfire mode.

Are you playing via Galaxy?
Have you tried to play game without Galaxy?
