This problem is a bit weird. After installing patch 1.04, I'll occasionally get a problem wherein I load the game, go through the loading sequence (Dandelion's story recap), and then once I get into the game, the game freezes, then my entire monitor freezes, then it goes black. After that, I have to do a hard restart of the computer just to get back to my desktop. I'd say this was a hardware problem, but it didn't occur before patch 1.04, and does not occur with any other programs.
Furthermore, the problem usually only happens once, after I haven't played the game for a few hours or more. After that, the game runs perfectly fine with little to no problems.
My specs:
Nvidia GTX 980
Intel i7-4790K @ 4.00 GHz
8 GB RAM
Windows 8.1 64-bit
Running the game on High settings.
