FIXED - DELETE DXGI FILES (I think they have something to do with reshade)

Hi,

I've played the Witcher 3 GOTY edition for over 20 hours so far, and suddenly, the game will not launch. There is a brief black screen that flashes (the game starting and immediately crashing) and then I'm back to my desktop.

Things I've tried:
-Verifying/repairing game files - no change.
-Uninstalling, reinstalling - no change.
-Leaving game installed, uninstalling GOG Galaxy, and starting the game from .exe - no change.
-Uninstalling all mods, reinstalling game - no change (also tried just uninstalling mods)
-Downloaded Microsoft Windows SDK for Windows 10, added witcher3.exe to list, enabled force warp set to 11_1 - the game actually started, but got about .1 fps with GPU usage going haywire
-updated graphics drivers - no change

Can someone help, please? I have an RTX 2070 and i7 8750h, have been able to play the game just fine up until tonight. I've uninstalled recently installed programs, tried everything I think. On Windows 10, 16GB RAM. Below is part of the most recent (of quite a few crash logs) let me know if you need more of the log than this.

Crash reason: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (3221225477), Error writing location 0x4413af40

How to reproduce this problem: install reshade from their online download, into the game directory. Breaks the game entirely. I may have installed it incorrectly, but deleting the .otpg files and the reshade file (I think it was a .ini? maybe not, can't remember.) solves the problem.
