Hello all,

Every time I launch the game, it crashes to the desktop. Was not able to get the game to start no matter how many times I reinstalled it, even on multiple drives (using GOG Galaxy) game version v1.04. I have the latest drivers and redists.

i7 4790k, GTX 980, 16gb ram, Windows 7

I also attempted all of the solutions here: gog.com/support/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_preorder/crash_to_desktop
None of which worked.

Any help would be appreciated!

UPDATE: I was able to run the game once, Ultra settings 60fps. There is no way this is an issue with my computer but an issue with the game.. After it ran once, it would not run again with the same symptoms as stated above.

Did Galaxy update your version of the game to 1.04?

Have you tried closing Galaxy and running the exe directly in bin\x64\ ?

I had the same problem, my solution was updating both graphic cards drivers which i forgot to update(onboard)

16gb DDR3 My version is up to date. I tried to run manually and closing Galaxy, same issue. Black screen and instant crash to desktop with no error message other than the log file I put in the OP (which isn't very descriptive) I have the latest nvidia drivers for my graphics card, still had no effect.

I should note that I got the game to randomly run once, I didn't change any settings I just decided to wing it and hit play to see if it would work. Ran it on Ultra settings 60fps without issues. After I closed it I was not able to start it again with the same symptoms, black screen at launch and CTD..
