So I'm playing the game on pc with my 360 controller and the deadzone is especially jarring for me (the initial amount you have to move the thumbstick before it translates to ingame camera movement)
Is there any way to change this? I'm not talking about the sensitivity setting mind you.

Hello,
same question here.
I love the xbox360 controller, but the inability to set a custom deadzone makes it very annoying when the feature is not implemented in the game you currently play.

There are a few way to go around the problem like using JoytoKey but it s not optimal since you lose the "pressure feature?" of the joypad

So let me know if anyone find something to set up the deadzone in this game or better, generally.
Or does CDP intend to implement a deadzone setting ingame?

PS: this problem of deadzone with the xbox controller exist since the first release of their controller and they never fixed it, i suspect them to know perfectly this easy to fix problem and don t do anything about it since there are some people that buy a new controller as soon as the joystick get loosy, thinking it s broken, since they don t know about deadzone issue.

Microsoft really needs to implement dead zone adjustment in the joystick controller properties (especially in light of their own controller being such an issue in this regard). In the meantime, I found Pinnacle Game Profiler works pretty well to fix this issue and can be customized per game.
It seems to me that the game has unusually tight deadzones for the controller, exposing even minor defect of the controller's stick that won't affect any other game (it's the only game I have problems with).

After a while of searching and experimenting I've found the solution. Download a tool called x360ce. It's an XBox controller emulator, but you can use it to tweak some parameters in real XBox controller. Copy the x360ce_x64.exe file to game's bin/x64 folder. Rename the original xinput1_3.dll (i added "_original" suffix). Now turn on the tool. Set up deadzones in the card related to the faulty thumb. In my case giving the Left Thumb 12% deadzones in X and Y axis did the job. Also, go to "Advanced" and turn OFF "Pass Through" if it's turned on and turn ON "Force Feedback Pass Through". Push "Save", close the program and play the game.

Thanks man!!! It feels much more responsive, specially on tight turns or when I want to start walking really slow... Silky smooth movement...
