i searched for all blacksmiths in the game and couldn't find the map the says were the armor recipe is.

Just a thought - have you downloaded/installed the DLC? The wolven armor is one of the free DLCs, so that's really the only reason I can think of why you wouldn't be able to find any of the maps...
IIRC some of them were sold by Hattori (the elven smith), so you first have to complete his quest to get access to them, but there were others that you should be able to buy already.

Thank you, yes I installed the dlc, maybe because i am playing new game+ it thinks I already found it.

In Lyndvale. Either the smithy or the merchant. i forgot already. NG+, it will be Legendary Wolven. Look for the map/note that has Heronymus and/or Elgar on the tittle.

The one from Hatori is one of upgrades.
