It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Installed the game (bought game from store today), installed the 2 patches and game will not start. The play button is greyed out and next to it it says (Waiting for game release. What gives?

If you are using Galaxy try this:

1. Exit Galaxy
2. Open it up again
3. Select the game, click More -> Manage -> Verify/Repair
4. Wait for the patching process to finish
5. Play
Hello.
Tried that, and Manage-Verify/Repair is "greyed" out.

O.K.!

Now you have 4 options:

1. Download the full installer from GOG (you can use browser, GOG Downloader https://www.gog.com/downloader or Galaxy) and install it again. This helped in most cases with greyed out buttons.

2. Re-install it witch your DVDs.

3. Ask GOG support for help: http://www.gog.com/support/contact

4. Wait for someone who can help you solving your problem.

Good luck!

Edit: Here is a link how 2 guys solved it: http://www.gog.com/forum/the_witcher_3_wild_hunt/still_cant_launch

Finally figured it out after letting it download the 22 gig file (took over 3 hours to download).
After downloading it, clicked on the icon next to it and it took me to the directory with the downloaded file. In the directory were the 2 patches which I downloaded earlier. On a hunch, I double clicked on the 1rst patch exe file and it updated it to 1.01. After updating then the auto update kicked in and updated it to the next version.
Looks like what happened was the auto updater did not work at first.
