After upgrading to windows 10 I am unable to save my game as saves in this version will be incompatable with previous saves.

How do I do without having to start all over again?

You should be ok with just creating a new save. I got the same message after the 1.07 patch. Though 1.07 has created new bugs & I don't have Windows 10, so there could very well be a bug.

Its when I try to make a new save that I get this message and it was there both in patch 1.06 and 1.07

Don't feel bad, Windows 10 crashed last night and was unusable and unsalvageable. No problem I'll just revert to 8.1. Oh great, "Windows is unable to start". Clean install of 8.1. Oh well at least I've got my game saves backed up. "Files are corrupt". FML

Was level 28 and about to head to the Isle of Mist. Oh well I'm going going to do a few things differently this time. And will stay on 8.1 until all the bugs are out of 10 whether I have to pay for it or not.

All my saved games data is gone since i upgraded from 8.1 to 10 and only on this game i checked C:\Users\\Documents\The Witcher 3\gamesaves and its completely empty i cant even do a repair even though i am not sure if that woudl fix it as its stuck at 2.3%,anyone that can help ?

When you guys upgraded from windows 7/8 to 10 you should have backed up your stuff. I have yet to see windows 10 delete any of my game saves. Doesn't make any sense why it would happen?
