Hello,
When I start a new game, I have no option to import a TW2 saved game, only the one to simulate the choices. Does it have to be in a specific place? Does it have to be in a specific language as it was the case for TW1 → TW2 (my saves are in french)?

If, as I suspect, the issue is that my saves are not in english, is there a way to easily convert them without having to redownload and reinstall TW2 just for this (even if I have to hex edit the files for this)?

As far as I know, W2 save data have to be in their original location in order to be imported in W3.
W2 save data location depends on your OS:
- Windows ---> %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Witcher 2\gamesaves\
- MacOS ---> ~/Library/Application Support/com.vpltd.TheWitcher2/GameDocuments/Witcher 2/gamesaves/
- Linux ---> $XDG_DATA_HOME/cdprojektred/witcher2/GameDocuments/Witcher 2/gamesaves/

I wasn't aware of this restriction in the W1 ---> W2 import process, so I can't answer your question.

I took a look around the web and found nothing about.

I play on Linux, but TW3 being Windows only, it wouldn't find the saves from my Linux TW2, so I put them in the "My documents" directory of my Wine prefix (i.e. the stuff that simulates a Windows environment), which would match %USERPROFILE%\Documents. If I start a game of TW3, that's where it puts its own saves, so I guess that's the right place.

My TW2 folder (in which there is the gamesaves subdir) is named "The Witcher 2", though, not "Witcher 2". I'll try to rename it.

EDIT: that was it, it finds the saves in "Witcher 2". :)
