I've gone to that merchant in question in Novigrad but I can't talk to him cause no prompt appears above his head.

Is there any other way to get the book?

I'm playing on my finished save file and waiting for Blood and Wine to download, don't wanna have to start over to get the book in the prologue.

I started over, won several games against the scholar, but never got the book either
