Exactly the same problem. Fresh instal of version 4.0 fixed it.

You beat me to it. I don't know what playing the game broke, but something broke it. Tested on 3 different rigs. The only was is a fresh install followed by the patch.

I get a more extensive list of error. Don't know why. I tried reinstalling the new "version" in order to test how'd it work with this patch. And it won't even apply.

Same issue here. I have reinstalled to get the so-called "fresh" copy, but that didn't work. I have fiddled with permissions, run as admin, rebooted etc. I still get all the errors you pasted.

I might mention that I only have a 1080ti and it runs just fine on ultra+ and this hotfix is bs.

I think I might have the answer for you. When uninstalling, the game leaves behind files in bin folders. You gotta manually delete those, reinstall the game, then immediately patch. i had it happen to me the same way.

Thanks, that was a good thought. I saw that earlier and thought the same. I didn't start the new install (both times) and immediately patched, but the processes show up, but the install window (dings) like something in the background and never progresses. The patch log file is instant as soon as I click the button.

I still get all the errors. I have tried re-installing twice now and I'm done with this hotfix until it works for all.

Like I said, it plays fine on ultra+ with my 1080ti.
