So atm there is only one sword smith that I know of that I could go and sell my stuff to, craft and so on.

He won't talk to me anymore. I am talking about the sword smith to the left of Barons castle.

Hes name as turned bluish and it just says "Swordssmith". Like it says over cats, or the goat Princess for example.

same will happen later with some other npc. its probably a feature.

hint: big cities. or use white meadow loc.

So I have to go 10 levels without a swordsmith? There is one in novigrad, but I am only lvl 13 playing on deathmarch. Can't be doing that lvl 24 quest yet.

If you know of any others please tell me.

there is one good sword maker near entrance in second large city, which is to the east. Just go +-straight after the bridge.

I had the same problem, was getting really angry about this.

The solution which I found for different bug like this, is to save (not quick-save) the game while I stood next to the guy, and reload that save. After that I could talk with the guy.

Additionally to what Ras said, one time just sleeping couple of hours fixed it for me, at least for the swordsmith in Ard Crait castle

I had a similar problem, so I went away and did something else, spoke to the Baron, then came back. He was happy to speak to me then. Now I just need more credits to buy the stuff. :( I'll probably be rich by the time I get to Novigrad with all the florins and stuff I'm picking up that I need to swap at a bank there though. :)
