Things like a Storage Box in every town should be standard for this type of game, I was baffled when I found out this game didn't have that. Specially after Witcher 2.

Also, annoyances derived of poor design/planning is not the same as difficulty. So all of you super pro gamers can take a long walk off a short pier.
The system as it is, is not an annoyance.... The fact is that you are used to a certain kind of system and you´re having some problems to work with a new take on the subject.

In fact the saddle system doesn't represent difficulty, but it could add if they wanted. To me it should be decreased in 60%, so you would think about what you should carry.

The only things I missed with it were the previous stash of weapons I had by the end of witcher 2, and some items took some time to get. At least they could extract them from the save file and put them on kaer morhen to represent our entire course through all 3 games.

Just use what you need and everything will be fine

sariaen: It is as good as items in one chest, teleporting to another location with a chest at Geralt's will. So you stash your stuff in Novigrad and BANG! They are at Skellige? Same chest? Different chest? Teleportation? Geralt hates teleports. Anyways, get a mod guys :)
So disable fast travel as well then? ;)
No, the chest just would fit way better. When Geralt fast travels, and let's admit it, nobody will ride Roach from one end of the map to the other, his stuff respectively the chest is transported with him. Simple as that.

I still say the we need a separate tab, accessible only when you mount Płotka. The horse should be the pack mule chest hoarder friendly animal here :P Chests just do not fit in my opinion. Maybe he should get a room later on in the game, when he finds himself in Novigrad? (SPOILER, you played enough you know what I have in mind)

vertarama: There's so much loot in this game, and I'm a hoarder.

Please for the love of God add bigger saddle bags or give me a fxxxing caravan, even better 5 or 6 dwafts to carry all my gear, I wouldn't even be that bothered if Roach had a harness with a little cart attached to it :) to carry all this gear. I spend most of my time walking because of weight issues.

3 sets of armor and weapons ie - light, medium and heavy. Also I like to loot everything I come across and not really interested in selling my materials, currently i'm 130/160 and can only visit 2 or 3 question marks before I have to go to a merchant to sell junk weapons or armor.

Not interested in dumping stuff at inns or behind merchants.

CaptainCrunch83: You do realise that this is a game, right?
You do realize that others comploain that it is not realistic enough. Just go look at any thread on locked doors, alchemy or not being able to cook food.

Point is there are compromises and you can't please everyone all the tiime.

Easiset solution is to use a mod.

They need to give us some sort of chest or something so we can drop off crafting materials.

I've had the 100+ saddlebag for a while and I seem to be stuck at around 140 weight. I've kept all the monster trophies thinking I'd be able to hand them in to someone for something special like the witcher 1 but haven't found that yet (not even sure if something like that exists in tw3). That's only like 10 weight though all together. So I've got about 130 weight that is exclusively crafting materials lol.

They really should give us a storage chest like the witcher 2 has. Either that or bigger saddlebag, like 150 or 200 weight one.

Haveing sold all my items that aren't mandatory, I have 136weight of 160. I have 3 crossbows, Full Master Crafted Feline, Ursine, Griffin sets and the armor from the Master Armorer quest. I can only pick up a few items before I become overburdened.

The core problem, is that there isn't a storage spot to put the items you want to keep, long term.

LOL Clearly that other sutff isn't mandatory. If a fast sowrd build you NEVER make the griffen of bear stuff. Is sings you ONLY make the griffen. Etc. Etc. Most of that is NOT mandatory.

Or get a mod.
