So, I'm really glad about the news that they're working on a console version. I've completed the game twice now on PC and adored it so it's great that my friends who don't have powerful gaming rigs will be able to experience this game.

However, if it really is coming out at the end of the year, I really, REALLY hope they're not positioning this anywhere near Skyrim.

Now, I really enjoyed Oblivion and will likely buy the new Elder Scrolls, but I will be greatly surprised if I prefer that game to The Witcher 2. I think this will likely end up being the better RPG of this year but, with the marketing muscle Bethesda can put behind their games, there's no way CD Projekt's title would survive a launch window near that. They cater to the same crowd and I really think this should be an early Q1 game. It would be the Red Dead Redemption/Alan Wake scenario all over again with one game cannabilising the other's sales (or Split/Second and Blur if we're looking to two games in the same genre). Delaying it would give them more time to polish the console version and maybe tailor the introduction better to make it more user friendly.
