Their fires are pretty and all that, but there are waaay too many of them, especially in Chapter 2 (well in the Vernon Roche path).

I like to walk through the fires. A lot.
(It unlocks an ability)
I like how speaking to anyone near a fire always makes Geralt standing on top of the fire when the dialogue ends.

I've walked through every fire I've come across in Prologue and Act 1, still no perk. Is it acquired randomly or what?
it's a cold climate. people use fire to warm themselves. makes sense to me.

You're not doing it right, then. Walk into a fire, step back while it burns out. on you.. regen your vitality a bit - rinse, repeat. After 10-20 walk-ins, you'll get Pyromaniac.

Pretty sure this killed me once. Similarly, some finishers put you outside the bubble at the beginning of Ch. 2, which can kill you immediately after the finisher ends.
This thread is proof how people whine about everything.

Don't take everything so seriously; it's meant to be a funny post.

Side note on something cool about fires:

I set myself on fire, and when I ran into the water, the DoT went away. I thought that was pretty cool. =)
The best fire-leading conversation is with Adam in Henselt's camp.
It's unforgettable seeing Geralt preparing for arm wrestling while being on fire, heheh.

Sooo, it has to be the same fire? I've definitely burnt myself 10-20 on whatever fire I happen to be running by.

Don't think so... First run through, I got it in Act2 because every time I talked with the champ arm-wrestler, the cutscene would put me in his fire. This run, I intentionally ran into fires and got it after a bunch of times.

I think the game "adds" up the times you've burned yourself.

Might be important: I think, you have to actually be on fire (5sec DoT), taking damage from the fire without going ablaze isn't enough.
