cloud8521: how much extra memory is it giving your video card (visible on dxdiag)

eisberg77: oh, haha, well that explains a lot. dxdiag 32bit and 64bit are both reporting 751mb total memory, even though my video card has 1gb of VRAM. If I use GPUz program it reports the correct memory, so it is just DXDiag misreporting and that is what the tool must be using. DXDiag is also not showing how much extra memory it is giving my video card.

kadaju: I get about the same as eisberg77 when using the performance tester. Although it reports only 705 mb vram for me. Using GPU-Z it says 1024 mb, which is what it should be. This is on a 6750m by the way.

What I also find puzzling is that the performance tester reports me having only 4 gb ram when I have 8 gb installed. Anyone know the reason for that?

That's sort of confusing, the game shouldn't detect my system as being able to run the game on high, and also http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/ should not give me a pass on everything. Also considering the fact that this pc runs some pretty hardware consuming games like crysis (1 and 2) on 1600x900 with high details, you'd expect it to be able to at least run this game in low to medium settings. If this is really all the performance i can squeeze out of this system, then I'm really disappointed in the way this game is optimized.

It's a damn shame...i have been waiting on this game for a long time. I'm not a gamer, i only buy games as presents for my little bro to play on his computer and only test to see how they run on my laptop but every once in a while i play RPG's that get my attention (mass effect 1 and 2 and the first witcher are the only games i played in the last 5 years) Looks like i'll have to wait for Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect 2 ran with all the details maxed out with not a single twitch so i don't expect to have the same problems with the new one like i have with Witcher 2 :)
