I'm desperate for help. I have been in touch with GOG support and CD Projekt Red support, with no resolution. I have tried every single FAQ and common issue resolution available.

Does anyone have any idea why Witcher 2 crashes after the opening cut scene?

I have already tried these options:
1. Run as admin
2. Reinstall
3. Uninstall antivirus
4. Reinstall DirectX
5. Disable DSR (was already disabled)
6. Reinstall VC++ 2013 SP1
7. Reinstall/repair .Net framework
8. Restore NVidia 3D settings to default
9. Uninstall Nvidia 3D vision & Geforce Experience
10. No .Net patch for 3.4
11. Many different video options and resolutions (windowed and fullscreen)

This is a hard one.

1. Are you using MSI Afterburner? If yes, disable or deinstall it.
--> Perhaps you can get the same problem if you are using some other tuning tools (but this is only a guess).

2. Try out to run the game in compatibility mode (use for example Windows 7).

3. Your OS could be messed up in such a way that it could be best to reinstall it. Perhaps the free upgrade to Windows 10 could be an option (but this is up to you).

4. All other suggestions I have didn't work for you (see your list).

Good luck!
