I chose her over Triss in Witcher 1 and now I am with Triss? Makes no sense for me to be honest.

Shani was sort of an incidental character. She's not really important in the Witcher universe, and Geralt would never really go for her. I personally liked her quite a bit, though I didn't choose her, but she wouldn't do anything for the story. Mostly a fling that Geralt, canonically, would soon abandon.

Good plough though.

And Shani could be a field surgeon at the siege.

Didnt Geralt leave Shani and the boy in TW1 because he wasnt "suited" for that kind of life. Or maybe that was just the Shani ending i got?.

Either way, she isnt in TW2.

Ah well it is sad. But she did not have a large role in the books as well or? Just read the novels.

The boy, I assume is Alvin, was not left behind. He was part of that elven occupation of the village where he disappeared afterwards (and you meet him again at the end of the game ;)).

I made Geralt be in love with Shani in the first one, so I was disappointed as well.

I understand why they did it but it still is a little bit disappointing that there isn't even any mention of her once. They could've had some explanation rather than Geralt just waking up naked with Triss.

It felt like one of the old Batman movies to me, where Bruce Wayne spends the entire movie trying to win the heart of some woman and then in the next movie shes just inexplicably gone and hes on to the next.

Sure, he "ploughs" Triss but it's up to the player to define how meaningful the relationship is to Geralt.

I agree Shani deserves to at least be mentioned, however... even though she doesn't fit in the story they wanted to tell.

Well she's in the middle of being ploughed by Geralt when Dandelion stumbles through the window in the very first pure novel translated into English (The Blood of Elves) not the first translated 'short story compilation' book. In the book she was enamored with him like most women are, but her ehem, spirit is noticeable even outside the bedroom.

I too really expected a mention at least to the game save I imported, to at least say what happened to her. However, the ending with her pretty much sums up why there's no way it can work long term, but a little reminder & maybe a joke about the grandma flipping out that he just did it all to plough her more, or something. :P

If they make a Witcher movie and have Shani in the movie, they should get Sabrina Loyd to play her.
