Hi.
The Witcher 2 is the first Witcher game i am going to play. From what i heard of most of the Wicther games there are a lot of choices to be made and a lot of things that will happen based on these choices. Thats nice and all but to be honest i am not a person that enjoys re-playing something again and again.
I would like to ask how the save system in this game works. Does it automatically save at certain points ? And when it does not, what have i to look after if i want to save before the story splints into multiple paths that can happen ? Are these choices colored in a different way or is there any indicator for them ?

Save often.
Unlike witcher 1, the quicksave erases the previous quicksave. So manual saves are better.
There are probably autosaves, can't remember properly.
Also consider deleting obsolete saves, once you know you won't be needing them. (Your decision)

About the choices, what do you mean by coloured? The choices are mainly what decisions you make during the story. Your reactions to the events lead to what events Geralt will encounter in the future. Without giving much spoiler, It is not possible to explore the entirety of the missions in one play as the story branches based on your decisions like who you side with etc.
