SheBear: I don't think he survived in my play through (I didn't see him, but I didn't actually really look all that hard). The story-book thing that came up after the end of the Prologue talked about how Aryan's honor allowed him to save himself and his men when Geralt confronted him on the tower but then killed himself to destroy his castle. Or that is what I thought it meant.
Weird. Now I'll have to play again!
If you don't save Aryan does he show up? I know that he was being tortured, but does he get executed if you aren't there?
