When CDP announced the 16 different endings there was something about 4 different introductions (prologues). What happened with them? Will there be a restoration mod? Or they will be re-used later like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 1935 build?
I believe there are 4 different "variations" of the progolue, based on the three possible import options of the last game, and no import at all. Not 4 separate prologues. This isn't Dragon Age: Origins.

I think the 4 different prologues are in the dungeon escape part...

***** WARNING >>> POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT *****

a: Aryan alive (surrendered) - go the "high" road (down the corridor) - You see Aryan leaving the torture chamber followed by the Nilfgaardian dude

b: Aryan alive (surrendered) - go the "low" road (down the trapdoor) - You find Aryan in the torture chamber

c: Aryan dead - go the "high" road (down the corridor) - You see Marie-Louise? leaving the torture chamber followed by the Nilfgaardian dude

d: Aryan dead - go the "low" road (down the trapdoor) - You find Marie-Louise? in the torture chamber

Each one gives you a slightly different opening story.

So, how does the prologue vary depending on your choices in the previous game? I thought they said that the prologue was the same for everybody now. There is no way NOT to be with Triss in the beginning. The only variable I saw was about *spoiler* the striga. *spoiler*

The beginning with Triss seems to be set in stone. My savegame where Geralt only slept with Shani started the same way in the Witcher 2, with Triss in the sack.
The ***SPOILER*** striga ***/SPOILER*** reference is the only one I have noticed so far, but I may have missed some references along the way. Just finished act 1.

Interestingly, in my W1 save

***SPOILER***
I chose to save Adda, but when I picked up the book that mentions her, it says Geralt killed her the second time, but then the journal entry says Geralt lifted the curse both times??? ***/SPOILER***

interesting bug...
