I download the game from www.gog.com in May of this year.
I think it is the version 1.0 and they never update it so I never re-downloaded.

I don't know if gog's version 1.0 has something diferent from version 1.0 from other
sources, 'cos the patches 1.0->1.XX never worked for me.

So, today, I do a clean instalation from those setup files and then apply:

1) gog's patch 1.0 -> 1.1
I can't find this at gog any more so I keep backup.

2) patch 1.1 -> 1.2

3) patch 1.2 -> 1.3

4) patch 1.3 -> 1.35

5) patch 1.35 -> 2.0

It work's work's great, but it is a long installation process.

Has some one tried the gog's autoupdater to 2.0 ?
How it work's? And what exactly do ?

Yepp, thats is how I reached Patch 2.0 for Witcher 2 on my system too. (thou I had installed respective patches when they were released long ago..)
I just notice a new file size of gog version,now shows as 10.3gb instead of the 8 or 9gb I forgot.
This could be the new version 2.0.
I attempted to update to 2.0 this morning and after taking forever to finish it messed up my game. I was no longer able to launch it and kept getting a error message. Now I have to reinstall everything.

I reach ver 1.3 the same way you did.

But now I want to burn the setup files + patchs in 3 DVDs, so I decided to try a fresh instalation first to check every thing is all rigth.

PD: Wow, gog forum join your post when when they are consecutive. I didn't notice until now !

Looks like it is indeed a new version 2.0 of the W2 core game,didn't need to install any patches.

it gives me choices to use on the menu to Tutorial,Arena,and dark mode.

how do you know what version one is running, it doesn't say on the menu screen?

and will someone please tell me whether eyefinity is now supported!
Go to install dir\bin

right click witcher2.exe and select properties

go to the details tab

check the "file version" field.
cheers, still on 1.2

and the launcher doesn't show any options or buttons that would prompt an update.

what does one do now?
Well the launcher asked me whether I want to update or not and then did automatically

but try downloading the autopatcher which can be found under the bonus content section of Witcher 2
Yea, just download the new autopatcher and it will check your game version and download and install the appropriate patches for you. It will also leave the downloaded patches in the Witcher2 folder, which you can delete or save for another time.
i can't see a "bonus" section on the witcher 2 site, nor can google point me to a download link to this autopatcher.

any assistance welcome.
