Hi guys, and why not girls tho, there are some no? :(

Well as in the first Witcher game, character replacement is pretty easy, just basic things, X file goes there, rename it properly and your done...you know the roll ain't ? Ok let's go...

All required files are in pack0.dzip, which can be extracted through a QBMS (QuickBMS) script, I'm not sure If I'm allowed to post it but first I'll explain what and how.

First we'll test this with Triss and her towel model, didn't want to go directly to nude but you can :D

Ok, go to your W2 installation directory, go to CookedPC and create the following folders inside.

1st step -> first folder will be "Items" without quotes ofc, this folder keeps the whole game models, now let's continue
2nd step ->inside the "Items" folder create another one named "triss" and mostly this is all, oh wait there's more no?
3rd step -> usually this folder is empty, since you just created it, but contains the whole Triss models, towel/nude/armored etc...
4rd step -> download this file http://www.multiupload.com/NJTW6HEQ3I and drop it into "triss" folder
5th step -> It's done, nah I'm just kidding, you need to rename the "triss_towel.w2ent" to "triss_body.w2ent" to work, because the one tagged _body is the main outfit used, the other ones are related to some quests/events.

Now your done, just enter the game and enjoy the new Triss, dressed just in a towel.

Sure it's might look hard but It's not, I wanted to explain as good I can, you can replace other characters to, even Geralt using Triss body but it's not so easy there because Geralt have some other parts, gloves/boots/pants/hair etc and it's not just a single model, it's mostly the same there to. You just need to be carefully with the names.

Any questions? Ah yes, and here's a screen as proof http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/7892/rtyrt.jpg (No there's not glitch, I just printed when she closed her eyes)

Also THANKS to JB for reminding me of this.

Good job,but can you explain how to unpack the *.dzip file by QuickBMS?
i tried to do this with geralt(using other models), but it doesn't work unfortunately. the game either crashes or geralt's body turns invisible.

have you tried this with geralt? i only found one model that works with him called "geralt_kaedwen_ghost"

For Geralt is a bit more complicated.

You need to find you the names of the items your wearing (Attention: Only if you want to replace your current equipment, but I don't recommend this)

You can replace the naked files from Geralt files, boots/chest/gloves/foots etc in order to make it work on Geralt, but still you'll have Geralt head, gonna try more soon. So in game you need need to unequip your clothes then you'll have Triss body or so...
Here are all the Triss model I found in the pack0.zip

Heyo everyone,

I've been trying to replace Geralt, but haven't had sucessful so far. The biggest problem is finding all the files of the npcs broken down. Most of the npcs are full body w2ent files, and not alot of just head/body/leg/arms/feet. I even grabbed a plugin for blender that at least let me view the mesh files in blender to see what they relate to. Any suggestion?

Say I want to replace Geralt with a dual wielding Scoia'tael, that you fight in act 1. Can't seem to find the necessary files to do that. Same with with most of the main npcs.
eww you're trying to replace him with scoiatel. as for your question, no not possible until w2ent files can be modified. can be done through resource editor, no need for blender.
Can you replace Geralt with female characters?
That link is a bit dodgy could someone upload to a website that is "safer"
