coolcat12: Anyone else have this issue with new patch?

Ha - love the Giantbomb narration over the top of that video. Random but awesome.

So I'm probably not going to install the patch and just go without the Troll Trouble DLC for my second run through. Doesn't seem to be worth the trade off for broken controller options.

Shame, that was how I enjoyed playing the game the most. I've had no crashes and FPS is stable, if not super smooth, so I'll live with the version I currently have.
While I can’t give actual FPS numbers, I can defiantly say that playing my gog version with patch 1.1 installed is not as smooth as 1.0. My system is low end but I was able to tweak the low settings just a little bit to get a better image and still run smooth. Now with 1.1 and the same settings as before the game is jerky and some textures like the floor of a bar are not loading.
Sorry I can’t add anything technical or concrete but I just wanted to add my voice to the patch 1.1 issues in case some of the higher up are reading this. All technical issues aside, I love this game CDP and it pains me to have to play it on such a low end system.

Hmm, it's a shame that there are some screw up's, myself however haven't noticed any problems at all with the new patch. Everything is running as well as could be expected. 1.2 here we go!
Imo people moan about having to use the D-Pad in the menus and inventory screens need to grow up and stop crying.

Its a minute problem to be getting so up in arms about.

Imo people who don't play with gamepad need to grow up and stop trolling. The biggest complaint is that you need to use the d-pad in the quick menu, to choose signs and bombs.
If you used a gamepad, you'd know it.

It's not, it forces you to move your fingers from analogs to d-pad in combat, not to mention that the d-pad in xbox360 controller is horrible.
You cannot scroll journal entries after the patch. Again, if you actually used a gamepad, you'd know it.

I do play with a gamepad f, so thats your argument out the window. I am just capable of moving my right hand to my mouse wheel to scroll text. Try it you may surprise yourself in the things you can achieve in life.

First, learn to quote properly. Second, it is a bug and it is annoying for most nomal people.
See here: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/gamepad_controls_after_patch/page1

When I play with a gamepad I do not have my mouse nearby, why should I? Your advice is ridiculous.

Might help the developers if you specify the MS Windows OS version you are using. I'm GUESSING its Windows XP 64 Bit (home or pro?) since you have 8 Gb of RAM yet have DDR 2.
with SecuROM v1.0: 39 sec game launch, 17 sec savegame loadtime, 16-45 fps
without SecuROM v1.0: 9 sec game launch, 8 sec savegame loadtime, 24-75 fps
without SecuROM v1.1: 7 sec game launch, 8 sec savegame loadttime, 32-60 fps

Felt like sharing.
v1.1 feels less fluid than v1.0 with gog hack.
I still cannot change any of my keyboard mapping, or even switch left/right mouse buttons.

Oh of course, I'm running Windows 7 32 bit and I'm viewing this all on a Dell U2410 @ 1920x1200.
I secretly hope that future updates will allow GOG versions to be activated on Steam as well.

No, v1.1 max fps is the monitor one, and not v1.0. So v1.1 is actually more fluid than v1.0: 32>24

it doesn't feel more fluid in v1.0 because of the fps, but because of the lacking stuttering issue introduced in v1.1. see other thread on gog.com.
