As i am walking around in the second chapter of the witcher 2, i can see the grass 2 feet in front of me change to be more detailed moving etc. My settings are maxed but i get this happening? VERY distracting ingame... my settings =

[Rendering]
AllowAntialias=1
AllowBloom=1
AllowBlur=1
AllowCutsceneDOF=1
AllowDOF=1
AllowDecals=1.0
AllowMotionBlur=1
AllowRain=1
AllowSSAO=1
AllowScatterDOF=1
AllowShafts=1
AllowSharpen=1
AllowVignette=1
AtlasTextureDownscale=0
DanglesLimiter=0
DetailTextureDownscale=0
Fullscreen=1
MaxAtlasTextureSize=4096
MaxCubeShadowCount=1
MaxCubeShadowSize=256
MaxSpotShadowCount=3
MaxSpotShadowSize=512
MaxTextureSize=2048
MeshDistanceScale=1.2
ShadowQuality=3
ShadowedLights=3
TextureDownscale=0
TextureMemoryBudget=600
UberSampling=0
VSync=1

As you can see, i cant imagine why its downscaling the graphics like this. Any help with this would be appreciated!

(geforced 560 ti, newest beta drivers, phenom iix4, 4gb ram.)
MeshDistanceScale handles the LOD.

Higher values = better range. Try raising it up to 2.0

Made a thread on this very issue.

I have exhausted all options pretty much and there doesn't seem to be any way to change the LOD. The different options seem to have zero effect and manually editing the user.ini does nothing as well. I have quiet a few videos posted in my thread and they are taken with ultra lod or custom much higher lod. Game is pretty much unplayable for me until this is fixed. Seems to be introduced in the 1.1 patch.

I raised it to 2... it did nothing :\
Sigh, this patch is bothersome.

It raised fps by lowering quality in some cases, and in others it completely destroyed performance.
And even though they said it would "fix most issues", not only did it not fix almost anything, it also introduced more bugs than it eradicated.

As much as i hate to do this, qft.

How far are you in the game? Check out the videos I made.. they are made in chapter 3. Nothing too spoiler ish.

See if you get similar pop-in. I've tried every single thing that's be recommended. No matter what I do it's the same.
Im in chapter 2. I would check out the videos but even knowing where chapter 3 is set is to much of a spoiler for me atm lol
I finished the game twice. The only noticeable pop-in I get in Chapter 3 is the studs on the doors.
