Ok so i got the witcher 2 alienware m17x with radeon 6990. and i turn ssao off and i get like 55fps with everything on ultra no ubersampling and when i turn it off i get like 35 is that good or bad for a laptop?

I think is good. I get between 32 and 46 FPS in my desktop.
You can play the game well with 30 FPS.

You may squiz some extra FPS from your laptop fine-tunning the game settings.
Why don't you try the The Witcher 2 Tweaker ?
