I recently started my 2nd playthrough of the Witcher, when I heard about the upcoming enhanced edition.

From what I have heard it seems like it mainly focuses around adding more content around the end-game area, and that it will not be like the overhaul that the last enhanced edition was.

If that´s the case I'm just gonna continue playing until I reach the last chapter again (I'm in Flotsam atm), and then just wait for the content.

But has anyone heard if they are gonna do some general improvements or add stuff along the way to the endgame? In that case I might just put the game on a hold until the enhanced version arrives.

TLDR; Is it worth it to wait for the enhanced edition to be released, or is it more of a expansion of content in the endgame that you can get to when you get there so to speak.

Thanks ya'll!
Please help, I want to play NAO if it is what I think it is. :P

You got plenty of time to beat TW2 until april. Keep playing now. Anyway one playthrough ot TW2 isn't enough to get all the story, you need at least 2.
And I have one from before, I don't think I will have that great of an urge to play it through immediately a third time. :)
I am also curious about this, I've been looking for a reason to replay Witcher 2 for a while now, the upcoming Enhanced Edition has brought my desire to replay right to the front... but I still want to wait but I'm wondering if there's any real reason to if it's only extra content coming, not feature updates.
I finished the game when it was version 1.1, then I finished it second time with 2.0, and I will finish it third time with Enhanced Edition. This game is just made for multiple playthroughs.
Is there news on any release date of the Enhanced Edition?

It will be released on the 17th of April.
April 17th.
Hm, allright. Then I will need to finish ME I ~ III before that date :P, so I can start on the Witcher again.

Thanks for the replies.
is there any chance of a new installer to download from gog with the enhanced edition as a single installer instead of downloading the 1.0 build and patching up to the enhanced each time?

I'm curious about this as well. I've used my retail DVD version before now, and subsequently patched the game through it's auto update system. For EE, I was planning to download my GOG copy, but would it be better to wait until EE is released, assuming it's a single download, or to download the game in advance and then patch it up to the EE version?

I am wondering the same here

You can download the 2.0 installer now, or at least I did not long after it was released.

I guess it would depend on how big the patch is, how long it takes to install and how much you want to play now before the EE is released.
