The Witcher 1 for $4.99 was available for a limited time only. Read the news on the GOG home page.
Now it's available for a standard GOG price, and http://goodoldmonk.com/ also shows the price at $9.99.

It isn't theft, you're right, but it's still refusing to pay for a service and then taking advantage of that service. If you hire someone to do a job but then don't pay them or sneak into a gig without paying, it's not theft in the traditional sense either but it's still a shit thing to do. Especially when you're using that argument because you didn't want to pay $5, which does strongly imply you're about 12. The way you told us about torrents as if it's some obscure secret also implies that.

Piracy is not theft - it's piracy.
Digital media is different.
Intellectual property creates artifical scarcity.
Intellectual property is theft.

CDPR did what it could to provide DRM free options..they released PC exclusive for both games. Seriously, what more could people ask for? Support the devs.

did you pay for it? No. Therefore you stole it.. You obviously have no conscience, ripping off a company like CDP.

I agree that it's different to steal from a huge department store than it is to steal from a local shop, but the larger point is more that you seem to be using facts totally unrelated to yourself to try to justify $5 being some cataclysmic amount of money to you. I pirate games too, I'm not being a moralfag about it, but... How can I put it? There's a sort of mentality to it that can make you sound retarded, like "Hmm, I have to pay the price of a beer and burger? Fuck this shit, I'm going to the online store known as The Pirate Bay where they always have these awesome 100% off deals". I'm just saiyan.
As I said, I pirate games too, and have often argued that it's not the same as stealing ("you wouldn't download a car, hurr" and all that shit) but don't try and make it out to be some virtuous act, like you're being some sort of Robin Hood firing an arrow up Bobby Kotick's fat ass. So yeah, the annoying comeback to pirating of calling pirates "poorfags" is stupid as hell, but sometimes pirates do really make it seem like that's the case, this being one example.

There are a couple of points here...
First... No one wants talk of piracy in a specific game forum. It's a recipe for disaster, much like talking politics or religion. I especially don't appreciate one who is a braggart.
Second.... The reason why ~most~ of the posters here, are here is because they BOUGHT the game. It's kind of a closed club - dig?
Third... Most here are enjoying the game and are more than happy with the performance of CDPR in the making of this game - and because we want them to be able to financially continue to make great games - we are supporting them. Financially.
The point is, your comments bragging about pirating this game are simply not wanted here.
Comprend?
