Let me just start by saying I love this game. I have an AMD card with the framerate issue that AMD is currently working to fix. The game still looks good on low.
But I just had to vent when I got to, what appears to be, the final boss in chapter 2.
What the hell were they thinking with this one checkpoint???
Right before the boss fight you fight as a possessed ghost that is virtually indestructible. You could make a meal, get back and still have half health. So it's not like the checkpoint is hard at all, even with the difficulty setting ON hard. It just takes a while to kill things with shields. However, the boss itself is plenty difficult, and because you have to spend 3-5 minutes killing mobs and another 1 or 2 on a mini boss, this trial an error becomes a grievous chore. I'm gonna eventually beat it, but for now, I'm going to vent and wonder if anyone else got hung up at this spot, watching time swirl into a vortex of the most imbalanced checkpoint I've ever seen. What the hell?
Seriously... RPGs, adventures, hell even FPS, all have a checkpoint right before the boss. And most games are a lot easier than the Witcher 2 on hard. Where's the love??
ok, done :)
