I still can't decide if whacking her is right. Seems right since she's nilfgaardian.
In the Secrets of Loc Muinne quest?

I attacked her the first time I played this quest, but you fail the entire quest and you can't proceed to discover the secrets at all. It's a very cool quest and it's a shame to miss out on it. The only problem with helping Cynthia is, during the course of the quest, Geralt becomes "friends" with her (WTF?) and you can't attack her after that (only sex her up).

Ideally I would have liked to be able to complete the quest and THEN cut her down. I hated her for crushing Triss down into a figurine and causing so much strife, despite her "help" during the quest.
I didn't know you could do it before the loc muinne thing.

I meant after whacking the golems.

Not only because of who she works for, but it makes sense because it's the only way, as I recall, to keep the megascope from going South. It appears to be a powerful device, and it's bound to come back to bite the less-bad guys in the butt if it is in the grasp of Nilfgaard.

On the other hand it's hard, being soft-hearted, to do so once Cynthia is friendly with Geralt (not impossible, you just have to choose the right dialogue choice).
Yeah, he's right, you can kill Cynthia at the end of the quest, which I guess is what you were asking about. I can't believe I didn't realize it. I guess it was because I was so eager to use the megascope and check on Triss, I just ended up staying "friendly" with Cynthia.

Now that I know about that option, I would say, waste her. If you let her live, she basically says, "yeah, thanks for giving a powerful device to the Empire, sucker."
hey just a heads up, TRY to KEEP SPOILERS IN THE THREAD, NOT THE TOPIC NAME.

thank you and have a nice day.
Its your game to play. Little tip from what I have learned from games that offer some form of continuity.
-Dead characters don't make cameos. Even if they do it gets very little time and effort into it as it only serves an existing base/people who import an old save vs the ever desirable "new audience" who will likely never even see it.
