Ebon-Hawk: Are you jealous? :)

227: A little jealous. I can derail pretty well, but only with the help of at least one other person. See: this very exchange *dun dun dun*

Also, you need to jump into the new forum. Everything's all on-topic and it's making me crazy.
Watch out for the mods if you try it! They've all checked in and are giddily roaming the threads in packs. ;)

Then we've no choice but to systematically lure said mods to the dark side of off-topic discussion.

Time to put on my manipulation pants, because there's work that needs doing for the good of all!

What new forum? O.o

227: Yeah, but I imagine being the victim of rape to be even worse. At least Schiavo was in a vegetative state. Rape victims have to live with that attack and all of the subsequent complex emotions dwelling in their conscious minds. Anyway, just want to reiterate for clarity that I'm not trying to debate this. Just offering up my opinion, for what it's worth :)
Yeah... I'm awfully tempted to continue this discussion, but I feel this is heading into really murky territory, so we should just let it lie. Let's keep the dark stuff firmly in Geralt's world. ;)

Gasp!

The forumlicious new official Witcher forum, of course: CLICKCLICKCLICK
IIRC Ves admitted to banging Henselt. By lying, I thought, Geralt meant that she let it happen willingly to save her skin/her mates.
I only played the Polish version though, and I don't remember the scene all that well.

Polish version? Its better than the english one? Even with english it has a harsh and rich medieval language:) Which one is the original?

Some pretty intellectual discussion the first 1.5 pages...

I, personally, think the idea that Dethmold did join in fits it perfectly. I think just angering Roche and Geralt is far too simple. He could anger them even more by killing the most unique Blue Stripes member who Roche obviously had a strong connection to. He clearly didn't care so much if she was in harm's way, because she can care for herself as seen with Loredo. Killing Ves would have angered him far more.

I also put some credibility into the spy theory, though it's hard to tell without any real evidence to support it. I have a feeling we will see Ves again in TW3 and perhaps we'll get some insight on exactly what did happen.
Anyone noticed that during the non human massacre (act 1, Geralt gave sword to Iorveth) Margot told him (in flashback conversation between Triss and Philipa) that Sile was in Flotsam to gather necessary ingredients from the Kayran to fix Henselt's broken 'apparatus'? Henselt is unable to sire children and by helping him Sile hoped to gain influence in Kaedweni court. Maybe that's why Geralt told Vernon that Ves is lying... lol

Good one:D I think the creators should make a single hint in Act II that the King is pretty happy these days, and more whores enter in his tent...or whatever:)

Which makes me wonder if Dethmold let Ves go because she might be potentially carrying Henselt's child. Of course Ves wouldn't know one way or the other until a couple months down the road, but Dethmold might through using magic.

Henselt? As a conscious father? Naah. The only thing which makes this completely ridiculous is that Ves is a peasant. And Henselt a bigheaded king. Nonroyal people were nothing in their eyes, even if they had a common child with them. on the contrary, more reason to get rid of her.
