I'm trepidatious about getting too far ahead in the story because I'm not sure what I'm missing out on. Has there been any word?

Yes. Where is this "fan" patch? Seems like the sort of thing that a particular type of "fan" would have waiting to go on launch.

I'm waiting too, but we're just going to have to be, A) Patient, or B) start looking into it ourselves. We probably wont see much action until some tools are a SDK are released.

I'm going to finish my playthrough of The Witcher 1 then I'll have a poke around in the files. I'm not eve sure how to open the dzip files. The CookedPC folder is common to UE games, but I thought this was a new engine??

Also, try to keep this to one thread. We don't need to annoy the forum mods with this.

they could just be taking cues from them to make thing easier.

True. If I recall Infinity Ward did something like that going from Quake Engine games to their own engine.

Anyway, has anyone know of any attempts to edit game files so far? My guess everyone is too busy playing. :p

All it would take is someone doing a diff on a censored and uncensored version and releasing a patch to make them the same. Probably a single resouce file somewhere. No need to wait for mod tools.

Yep. I've just had a look using a hex editor and found something, but I need an uncensored version to compare with.

Scratch that, think I'm just looking at Credits for the Australian localisation. :(
