Hello, loving the game so far but theres one thing that I can't seem to get around, no matter what i try.

Whenever the game saves, it stops responding for around 3 - 5 mins each time and its slowly been getting longer and longer. I've tried everything I can think of to fix this problem; clearing all but the latest save from the folder, running both the launcher and exe file as admin, changing the graphics settings to low, re installed multiple times, nothing seems to work.

If anyone has any ideas it would be a big help.

System Specs;

AMD phenom II x6 1090
nVidia Geforce 470gtx
4gb RAM
1tb HDD 7200 rpm
Windows 7 64 bit

That's weird. Your computer is better than mine.
Maybe is your hardisk too fragmentated? Try to defrag it!

I have experienced increasing save and loading times as the gamesaves folder grows. Like yourself I purged the folder after each game play session, leaving 2 or 3 saves. This works for me.
I also defragmented my computer, which may or may not help you. It's worth a shot. Also, I'm sure you have your virus scanner disabled and firewall settings correct?

aye, my anti-virus is pretty much always off when I play games, same with firewall, gonna try defragmenting now.

How large is your gamesave dir? Maybe your playing Witcher 1 which had the longest loading screens in gaming history!! Mucho saves will slow things a bit but 3-5mins...Mamma Mia!!

defragging seemed to do the job, managed to cut the save time down to around 1 min now, still a bit on the slow side though, but at least its playable.
