Hi guys,

I need your help. I am seriously stuck in the chapter 2. I have the following quests:

* Royal Blood: I went to Stennis to get royal blood, but I asked him about politics and the conversation ended. When I try to initiate dialogue with him again, he only says "Get out", so I am unable to do anything, let alone get the blood.

* Where Is Triss Merigold: Problem is, I talked to the Troll first. Then I was supposed to talk with the dwarf at the inn who saw a woman fell from the sky and he told me almost the same story as the Troll. Problem is, the goal of this quest stays the same, to go and talk with the dwarf, even when I have already spoken with him.

* The Eternal Battle: I have the standard, but I don't know where to look for the sword. The quest has no waypoint.

* The Matter of Life and Death: I have the crystal (source of power) and the immortelle. Since I am unable to get the blood from Stennis and the Triss' (who has the rose of rememberance) quest seems to be bugged, there is nothing I can do.

* A score to settle: I am supposed to wait for "the events to unfold", so I am waiting and nothing's happening.

* Assasins of Kings & Returning memories: no active phases or waypoints. Nothing to do.

* Hatred symbolised: again, I am to wait for the events to unfold. Nothing I can do besides waiting.

To summarize, there is nothing I can do to advance in the story. I went to talk to Cecil, Skalen, Dandelion, Zoltan, Philippa... They don't have any special dialogue options that could advance the game or at least add new phases to the quest where I am supposed to wait.

I am seriously lost. Can you help me and tell me what to do now?

The Triss quest is the one that should trigger the rest, so I'd reload before you talked to the troll if that's at all possible.

The "A score to settle" quest resolves in Chapter 3, so that doesn't play into anything here.

The sword isn't something you're able to get until you get the rose of remembrance and royal blood (which you'll understand how to get once the Triss quest is unbugged).

Did you try talking to the dwarf, then going back to the troll? Did nothing happen? The troll should give you Triss' bandana.

EDIT: Also, did you try every conversation option with the dwarf? I forget if he had multiple ones, but that might be your problem. Sometimes things are so obvious that they're easily missed :)

I can't talk to the dwarf again at all. I can't initiate dialogue with him for there is no "pointer" above his head. I can talk to the troll, but it is not a proper dialogue, he just keeps repeating some one-liners when I click on him. Reloading a savegame is out of the question, since that'll take me like 3-4 hours back :(

That sounds like a bug. Do you have any of the patches installed?

If you want, you could upload your savegame to somewhere (megaupload or something) and I could take a look and see if I can get the quest to update.

Yeah, seems like a bug to me too, so I requested an official support ticket. OFC, I have patch 1.2 installed.

Well fart me a lullaby. I am one idgit humie :) I knew I need to find the she-troll in order to get Triss' scarf but I didn't notice the path in the Troll's lair I needed to follow. After I talked to the Troll (and before I talked to the dwarf) I thought, that the waypoint arrow was pointing me through the locked door in the cave not far from the Troll's lair. I thought I will get the key later in the game but it turned out that was a wrong assumption :) Add the dwarf glitch on top of it and you'll get a nice confusion.
