This game has been a severe mix of disappointment and excitement. My computer is above the minimum requirements, and the game runs like crap on low settings.
I have to downsize the screen for it to be playable at all, and the font is abysmal.
The introduction of QTEs was abysmally done in this game. I'm not even out of the tutorial section yet, and the QTE on the bridge is something I can't even figure out - feels like a big bowl of "Do it again, stupid". There's no popup telling me how to do the QTE - no button I press seems to do anything.

I'm rather depressed and regretting my purchase of the game. Witcher: Enhanced Edition fixed all the issues with Witcher.
Should I have waited to get Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition? >.<

i did have the issue of first playing it and not knowing wtf to do with all the new options lol but i sat down and read all the tutorials and notes by pressing J than after about 30 minutes of trial and error ive learned the new buttons ... this could be fixed for people by making them play a short tutorial i guess <

your computer runs the game crap ?? tell me what your hardware is and give me a screen shot of what u have turned on.. ill happily try get it running smooth enough for you :)

I'm struggling a bit with some of them, but if you're looking for instructions try opening your journal - one of the tabs in the journal page has an entry for each set of QTE instructions that you've encountered so far, once I discovered this I found it invaluable if I missed the onscreen popup or need to refresh my memory.

Which event is that? I've just played through the prologue myself but there are a lot of QTEs and I can't remember what it is you're trying to achieve at that part. (Edit to add: Oh yes, THAT bridge. With Hard QTEs disabled all you need to do is press S and hold it down until you trigger the next cut scene)

Also go into your gameplay settings and turn off Hard QTEs, this has helped me a lot when I've been finding them difficult.

Really? If I just press S the dragon always catches me quite quickly, and bites (or whatever) me or Foltest, and the game ends. VERY frustrating, I'm stuck. And having to watch the cutcscene again every time really isn't helping.. >:(
