When Gridley explains what happened to Geralt, he speaks of abducting an attractive patient, and insinuates they abused her sexually. She escaped with the treasure map, never to be seen again.

I decided to kill the ghost and turn Rupert and Gridley into Laredo. Mariette Loredo makes sly comments, "Guests. How nice. We shall talk about the good old days. Hee...heee". Her comments imply that she was the "attractive patient" that they had abducted, so it would make sense that she and Loredo had the treasure.

Makes sense to me, but it is never confirmed. What do you think?

when you finish chap 1 and decides to go after loredo, you will find out :P
I don't remember that being explained... I'm on my 2nd playthrough, but I turned t
Gridley and Rupert over to the ghost, the first time.

So, you're saying it plays out differently? I'll play on and see.

My opinion is that she was the "attractive patient". There is the things she said, there is the wealth (she bought Loredo his office), and there is the post-traumatic symptoms (you will see it on Roche's path later on).
Loredo`s mom. I wonder how long Loredo had her checked in
