This should be an easy one.....When you escape from the prison in the prologue, where is all your gear and $? Is it lost or is there a way to reclaim it? i was unable to find it. Did anyone get their gear back?

You'll get most of it back, once you enter Chapter 1. Some stuff will be lost though - which is meant to be that way.

Seems Roche took it. You'll get it all back at the eginning of chapter 1.

Slightly off topic but still in the prologue.
When you talk to Roche and you can decide to help or attack Roche is there a way of doing that without Vas killing Geralt?
